  • Building a strongroom and office for Wildman inside VKB cooperation in Bethlehem worth just under R1mil
  • Alteration work for the Harlequins Rugby and Running Club in Muckleneuk in Pretoria worth over R1mil
  • Building a new residence at stand 3349 Parys Golf estate worth over R2mil
  • Building of 3 new residences in Heron Hill estate at stands 212, 244A & 244B,worth over R6mil in total
  • Complete renovation and addition to the van der Merwe residence in Delphinus road Waterkloof worth over R2.3mil
  • Renovating of entire residence in Pretoria country club which had to comply with the heritage council rules and regulations due to the age of the building. Working in collaboration with Normal Eaton architects, worth over R1.5mil
  • Additions to the Gomes residence in Clearwater estate worth over R700k
  • Building of new residence in Elarduspark in Buccaneer street worth over R1.6mil
  • Placing of culverts and building of head & wing walls under WBHO on the N4 highway between Rustenburg and Swartruggens. Contract value of approximately R600’000 labour only.
  • Doubling of Simon Vermooten road under Liviero Civils in Pretoria east. Part of the BRT (Bus rapid transport) project of Pretoria. Consisting of road & earthworks, storm water pipe, service ducts, paving, relocation of services etc. Contract value of R7 million.
  • Civil services for new residential development with Kumba iron ore in Kathu, Northern Cape. Consisting of roads & earthworks; sewer, water & storm water pipes. Contract value of R9 million.
  • Concrete work for Life of mine project with SpeedSpace under Kumba iron ore. Consisting of the erection of a 20 ton steel structure, concrete & formwork. Contract value of R1.2 million.
  • Median Barriers and concrete work on N12 Benoni under Raubex Construction. Consisting of road barriers, concrete works, steel fixing and formwork. Contract value of R2.5 million labour only.
  • Refurbishment of sand filters concrete building for Midvaal Water Company. Consisting of concrete works, steel fixing, formwork and pipe work. Contract value of R8.7 million.
  • Entrance buildings for Impala Platinum mine in Rustenburg. Including road works and parking. Contract value of R2.6 million.
  • Government freeway improvement projects with Grinaker-LTA. Including insitu concrete cantilever retaining walls, Maxwell Bridge & road barriers. Contract value of R25 million.
  • Waste water treatment upgrade project for BHP Biliton. Consisting of pipe works, pumps & electricity and concrete work. Contract value of R5 million.
  • Lonmin Platinum mine Baobab Shaft Water Purification Plant. Consisting of pipe works, pumps & electricity and concrete work. Contract value of R1 million.
  • Wellfields Water Supply Project for Boynton Platinum mine. Consisting of pipe works, pumps & electricity, general building and concrete work. Contract value of R24 million.

    With over 10 ten years experience Pêtra Construction was finally established in 2013. From humble solo projects Pêtra Construction evolved into a multi-disciplined company and now offers expertise in the following:

    1) General building:

    General building work and the trades that go with it like earthworks, brickwork, plastering, roof & trusses, concrete slabs, plumbing & electrical work foundations etc.

    2) Steel structures:

    Manufacturing & erection of steel structures with overhead & mobile cranes for portal frames, roof trusses, workshops, supporting structures etc. with the use of mild steel, galvanizing and stainless steel.

    3) Formwork, Concrete and lateral support:

    Formwork, reinforced steel and concrete for bridges, retaining walls, foundations, water purification plants and road barriers.

    4) Roads & Earth works:

    Bulk earthworks, layer works consisting of processing and compaction of road bed, sub-base and base, cut & fill, paving, asphalt and the logistics required.

    5) Pipelines:

    Installation of Concrete, PVC, HDPE and duct for storm water, sewer, water and electrical requirements.
